Stuff and LOTS of it.

Today's entry is about stuff. If you're a crafter or scrapbooker you know what I'm talking about. I have been working the last several days on finally setting up my craftroom and all of the STUFF. I have decided I am probably a hoarder. I have file folders that have pieces of paper scraps and ribbon that "I'm sure I can use elsewhere. (I haven't)

A BREAK DOWN

Scissors
I have seven pairs of nice scissors! Why you may ask? Well because Teresa Collins partnered with Fiskars and put out more than one pair and because I'm a hoarder I had to have all of them. I also have BOTH of Tim Holz scissors. (Because the short ones are great so the long ones must be better.

Binders
I have a Cinch by We R Memory Keepers BUT mine does holes that are circles and now they have one that does rectangles. Don't my mini albums deserve the option of having rectangular holes? (It's on my list of must haves).

Stamps
I have the Teresa Collins stampmaker. But does that stop me from buying stamps? NO! I have to have all of the stamps that go with the Teresa Collins paper I buy. AND she has released stamps with Fiskars. And I have to buy all of the stamps that Pink Bowties releases because NO ONE releases stamp sets so unique. It's like being in on the ground floor of something that is going to be huge!

Glue
Not one kind. 6 different brands. I love the Teresa Collins adhesive the best. (Of course).
I have tape runners, foam double sided tape, scor-tape, red tape, xyron double sided tape, scotch tape. Yes I need all of it! My favorite and I do believe the best at everything they do is Xyron. Which is why I have a 2.5 inch 5 inch create a sticker and a Creative station and two X's. (One of course because it's pink and Teresa Collins. I have their Teresa Collins stapler, runner and punch.

Paper
I love Teresa Collins paper. I love the weight and the fact that it's double sided, sometimes textured. I buy quality paper when I buy and I usually only buy what has coordinating buttons, brads, stickers, stamps. Because as you may have guessed. I neeeeed more stuff. I love MME. Studio Calico. And We R Memory Keepers

Punches
I have never been much of a punch collector, usually if I needed something like that I would cut it out with my Cricut. BUT Teresa Collins came out with a line of Punches with Fiskars available at Joann Fabric. So, of course I have all of them.

Cricut
I had a Cricut expression that I gave to my daughter because I have an Imagine and now an Explore (which is amazing).

I love all of it. My daughters called me a hoarder. The fact is it makes me happy.
There is something about going into that quiet room and making something beautiful. I enjoy it.

Enabler
Yes I have one of those too. My husband Tony knows how much I enjoy it. He has gone into stores to find something I need. He supports me. He's even sit in on a Teresa Collins class. He loves me and I think if I'm crafting he has some Peace and Quiet too.

If you're not a crafter and you read this you may think I'm a little wacky but I can't tell you I'm not the only one. I believe that every person needs a creative outlet. This is mine. I am lucky that I do have the support of my family and love that my eldest is now showing interest in documenting her life with her family.

Lots of love

2015

2015 is a big year! I will be turning the dreaded 50 in less than a month. A few years ago the thought of it sent shivers down my spine. But now I'm going to be thankful and enjoy it. My husband Tony and I will be going on a cruise at the end of February as a way to celebrate.  We are pretty excited about that.

I've decided that I'm going to stop feeling guilty for sitting down and spending time on my crafting. The only time I truly allow myself to do it guilt-free is when I'm doing it to make things for an event.  It's important to me, I enjoy it and so that is what I'm going to do!
I am also going to make an effort to force myself to take the time to blog each day. It's a nice way to empty your head before sleep!

Down But Not Out!

The last few months have been pretty rough for me. I have been down with a back injury and have been receiving treatment for that. It's rough. It's taking months but I'm still here!
Today I decided I wanted to spend some of this time working on a few pages of my granddaughter. Though I don't get to see her in person lots I do get to Skype with her almost daily :) the following is my first attempt at an albums made easy by We R Memory Keepers Pockets using Teresa Collins "Save the date". I chose this line because it matched the color of my granddaughters outfit. I used TC sequins attaching them with Xyron's Teresa Collins Clear Hold Adhesives (they need this amazing glue in LARGE bottles). The header background I ran through my Teresa Collins EBosser to add an extra touch to the beautiful Teresa Collins paper.
It was fun to do but the next one I'll be kicking it up a notch :-)

New Logo :-)

Did you ever have a vision in your head of what you wanted but there was NO way ever you'd be able to recreate that graphically. My new logo was exactly that. I had a 5 minute conversation with my niece who is also an amazing artist. She went home, we discussed it another 5 minutes through Facebook chat and she created this amazing graphic that is EXACTLY what I wanted! Thank YOU so much RNLaing I love you. I want to share her with the world so that everyone else can see her work. I'm sure the world may not be visiting my site however someone is..so here are her links.

Amazing weekend at the Scrapdoodles Retreat in Glen Allen, Va.

I had an amazing experience this weekend! My husband Tony and daughters Stacey and Jessica got me 3 classes with Teresa Collins at the Scrapdoodles Retreat at the Wyndham Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center in Glen Allen Virginia.

As you can see its beautiful!
The classes were amazing! Teresa Collins is the sweetest most genuine person I have ever met in my life. Her classes are so detailed that there is no way you can leave without having a beautiful project!
She had time to actually speak with me and there is no doubt she is everything I thought she was. She is a woman of faith, loves her family and is a loving wife.

Do I look like a groupie!? Lol

My husband came with me to the retreat and had to help me a bit because I am on crutches and actually sat through the last class and embossed with The Teresa Collins Ebosser by Craftwell.
He also made a trip to the store at the retreat and bought the entire new release Teresa Collins line!!
{videos coming soon}.
Scrapdoodles located at 1315 Central Park Blvd., Fredericksburg, VA 22401 is the superstore for scrapbookers, card makers or crafters in general. It is what I call HEAVEN!

My husband went above and beyond to make sure that I had an amazing time this weekend. He is the sweetest man in the world and I'm honored to be his wife :-)
     With our granddaughter Madelyn :-)
During our lunch break at the retreat :-)

It was an amazing weekend and I'm still floating!

Keep Crafting!!

Memory Tray

Last month my daughter and I took my granddaughter to visit my parents in Louisiana. It was a great trip :-) my daughter took some pretty amazing pictures while we were there. I decided to make my very first memory tray! I used Teresa Collins line "You are my Happy". One sticker from MME "cut and paste". And a Recollections memory tray from Michaels. I used Xyron's Teresa Collins Runner and Teresa Collins liquid adhesive by Xyron in her class kit. I love projects that allow me to display  my pictures and memories. This line is perfect for this project because my family is my happy :-)

Welcome!!

Welcome to my blog!
It's all about the projects!!
